A Link Request Email I Liked!

November 2nd, 2006 by Eric Enge

A while back I wrote a post about the funniest link exchange request I ever got. So I thought I would in all fairness present the best (seriously) link exchange e-mail I ever received. Here it is:

Hi,

We’re interested in exchanging links with you. Please let us know if you’re interested.

Regards,

I love this e-mail! Why you say? Because it’s short and to the point. The person who wrote this e-mail knows that I did not ask for it, and is being respectful of my time. Very smart.

So did I give him the link? Hell no, we don’t swap links. But it doesn’t change the fact that I really liked the way they asked.

Short and to the point is always the best approach!

  2. Lea de Groot says:

Yep, if you can’t make a decent argument for why the two sites are related, just keep it short and sweet!

  3. Straight to the point and straight to the trash..It lacks all atom of request..

  4. Robert says:

That’s a trash email right from the get go. I prefer a little more personalization myself.
